Happy Monday and Happy November, friends!
We are officially 2 months left of 2026 and it is time to LOCK-IN.
November is officially Lock-tober for me. I am going through some major changes in my personal and professional life and I will not let the last couple months of Q4 deter me from getting clear and laser-focused on my goals.
Here’s what I am working on for this newsletter:
Sourcing and securing speakers for upcoming webinars.. i am bringing in experts on workplace communications, salary negotiations, AI for productivity and work and more! (PLEASE RESPOND TO MY POLL BELOW SO I KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE!)
Finishing up my 12-week career coaching plan before sharing it with you all. Unlike traditional or even my past coaching, this is a “backdoor” strategy that helps you find and land jobs smarter, not harder.
What I am doing to build my portfolio career:
I’ve been volunteering with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Sweden for the past month as a project manager. Voluntary but looks sharp on my resume, opens doors to new opportunities and new contacts, and get to have respectable professional references.
Focused on executing my strategies through my work as a fractional advisor to a creator with 2M+ followers. Pending his feedback, but I have strong feelings that he will be onboard with my ideas!
Strategically applying to roles that allow me the autonomy to build and ship ideas quickly, but also in this arena of substack/newsletter writing and helping others grow! And also sending connection requests and messages to the hiring managers and recruiters of the applied jobs.
What’s happening in my personal life:
My husband goes on parental leave for 6 months starting in Jan 2027. That means I have now until then to figure out how I want to best spend the 6 months I have to be able to go full-time on my career. Do I want to go full-time with my fractional role, if there is that opportunity? Do I want to keep it fractional/part-time? Do I want to coach full-time through this community? A lot of food for thought!
My family and I are visiting Canada to see my parents for 6 weeks in February. That requires a lot of logistics and calendar planning that has to start N O W. With me being an ambitious career woman but also mom of 2 small children, this is no easy feat. But with the help of Claude, I feel pretty good.
