CA$49k-$282k roles in Canada & beyond, Join my Skool community
Hi career besties,
I can’t believe we have officially entered March?! The past 2 months have definitely flown by and I am officially 5 weeks away from my due date (OMG baby #2!!) 🤰🏻
Over the weekend, we had a lovely baby shower with our friends and spent some time with family and hung out with our daughter’s cousins.
And I have also hired a virtual assistant, OMG!🥂 While this newsletter is still a high priority for me, I am so glad I can now delegate the research and drafting side of things so I can focus more on community building and offering high-touch services to you, which have been highly requested in my DMs and emails. I am super proud of the work I have put into this newsletter myself since launching it in August 2023, right before the birth of my first baby.
In many ways, this newsletter is my real first baby. It has seen so many different platforms, such as Snipfeed, Beacons, and Beehiiv, and finally Sub stack, which is where this newsletter now calls home. 🏠
One of my goals for this year is to build and grow this community, and connect you with more jobs and opportunities, through relationships with recruiters and hiring managers. I also just launched a free Skool community where we can share job alerts, peer support and Q&As. It is completely free and i would love to connect with you all there where we can see your names and faces 🙋🏻♀️🫸🏻🫷🏻.

⭐Recruitment Coordinator (Remote Canada-$60k-$65k)
📰While the New Year usually brings a massive hiring spike, the data for February 2026 shows a bit of a “wait and see” vibe from employers. Companies are still hiring, but there is a major “approval slowdown” happening. Essentially, managers want to hire you, but they’re stuck in longer internal approval chains because of economic uncertainty. This means you might face more interview rounds, see a job post stay up longer or a longer wait for that offer letter. The key for 2026 is execution and speed so the candidates who follow up quickly and show they can solve immediate operational friction are winning the most offers.
TL;DR: The market is “busy but cautious.” If an interview process feels slow, it’s likely an internal approval delay, not you. Stay persistent and keep your application speed high.
📰Forget the flashy, talking AI assistants. The biggest trend for 2026 is “Invisible” or “Quiet” AI. Instead of massive, scary transformations, companies are quietly baking AI into the things you already do like smart email routing, automatic meeting summaries that just appear in your inbox, and background noise cancellation that makes you sound like you’re in a studio when you’re actually at a noisy place. The goal is to make the tech invisible so you can focus on your work without the tech getting in the way, and also to reduce “AI fatigue” among employees. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by new tech, don’t worry the industry is slowly shifting toward making these tools run in the background so you can just focus on the actual work.
TL;DR: AI is moving from being a “loud assistant” you have to manage to a “silent engine” that just makes your current tools work better. Expect less tech-hype and more subtle tools that just make your day move 30% faster without you having to learn a whole new platform.
